These words continue to find a home at the headquarters of ERG Enterprises, a firm founded by Dr. Eric George in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina devastated the community of New Orleans. Back then, George, a practicing physician with a passion for business from an early age, saw ERG Enterprises as a vehicle for helping to revitalize the crescent city. Soon after starting the company, he began making strategic investments in iconic real estate and hospitality properties, all of which contributed to the city's sense of identity and meaning. He knew then that he would establish ERG Enterprises as a company focused on financial results, as well as social and environmental impact.
"Improving the human condition should be the highest order of our business. Of course, we have to make money. But we can do so while also improving the quality of life for consumers across multiple arenas," says George.
Now, nearly fifteen years after starting ERG Enterprises, George and his dedicated team are proving that making money and impacting people's lives are not mutually exclusive endeavors, but inherently dependent activities.
