Pythian Project: Dried In and On Schedule

This past week The Pythian hit another milestone on its way to completion. The historic building located in Downtown New Orleans (234 Loyola Avenue) is now “dried in.” A construction term, “dried in” means it is sufficiently completed to keep out wind and rain and other elements, so interior work can begin without weather-related damage.

ERG Enterprises, Green Coast and Crescent City Community Land Trust are developing the project.  The Pythian is a mixed-use building that combines retail, offices, medical offices, and housing – both workforce and market rate.

“It’s incredible the amount of progress that has taken place since construction began eight months ago,” says ERG Enterprises COO Barrett Cooper. “We are on schedule and much of the credit goes to our architects, Studio WTA, and Landis Construction.”

Cooper understands the importance of staying on schedule and within budget.

“As developers, we are always monitoring the budget and the project timeline,” says Cooper. “We are on pace to satisfy both.”
